Repairs Before Paint
Most of the hours on our jobs are spent before a finish coat goes down: nail pops set and filled, cracks bridged, plaster repaired, old trim sanded and de-glossed. That is where a finish either holds or lets go.
LX Pro Home is a family-run painting, restoration and trim installation company working out of Phoenixville. The houses we spend our days in run across four distinct eras of local building, and most of them predate 1978. The person who prices your job is the person who comes back at the end and inspects it.

Founder Scott Watson owns and runs LX Pro Home. An artist and craftsman, he spent 18 years as a union tradesman before the company existed. He is a Pennsylvania native, a husband, and a father of six, and all 20-plus years behind the company name are trade experience earned in houses like the ones we work in now.
Two parts of every job are Scott's personally. He does the free in-home consultation and writes the proposal himself. At the end he returns to inspect the finished work with you, room by room, before the crew packs up for the last time. Our crew carries the days in between, with one point of contact the whole way.
Being local means this housing stock is familiar ground rather than a puzzle solved on your dime: 1750s fieldstone, Main Line Shingle Style and Colonial Revival, postwar capes and split-levels, and the 1990s stucco boom. Restoration is the center of the work — a trim profile no lumberyard stocks, plaster laid straight onto stone, a window painted shut under decades of coats.

Furniture covered, hardware bagged, floors protected, and tools packed down at the end of every working day. You keep cooking dinner and getting kids to bed in the same house while we are in it.
Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore go on every job we take. Builder-grade paint stays off the truck at any budget, because the finish is the part of our work you look at every day for years.
Full stucco remediation and floor replacement belong to other trades, and we say so during the estimate. Our approved finish scope includes plaster repair, baseboards, window and door casing, crown molding, interior doors, and drywall installation.
The in-home consultation is free and Scott does it himself. You leave with a written proposal that itemizes the preparation separately from the paint, and nothing is owed until that proposal has your signature on it.
