A finish is only as good as the surface underneath it, so the order of the work decides how long it lasts. Every stage below exists because of a specific failure that shows up when it gets left out.

We’ll go through what you want done and what sits under the existing finish: nail pops, hairline cracking, layered paint on original trim, chalked siding, plaster that has quietly let go of the wall behind it.
Scope, surfaces, prep, products, and timeline arrive in writing, with preparation itemized apart from paint. Take it to your other bids and compare it line for line. You pay nothing until you sign it.
Covers go down, hardware comes off, nail pops are set and filled, cracks are bridged, sound wood and trim are sanded and primed, and plaster patches are floated flush. Structural wood issues are identified before finish work begins.
Bare and repaired surfaces get primed first. Topcoats go on in Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore, two full coats on interior work, and exterior coats only while surface temperatures hold above 50 degrees.
Tools and drop cloths are packed at the end of every working day, and the last day ends with a full clean. Then we go through the finished house with you, room by room, before the crew loads out.
